(b) Departure of President

On December 29, 2023, Marcela Martin announced her intention to resign as President of BuzzFeed, Inc. (the "Company"), effective January 12, 2024, in order to pursue other opportunities. The Company does not expect to seek a replacement for the President position and the responsibilities will be absorbed by the CEO and other members of the Company's management team. Ms. Martin is not entitled to any severance benefits in connection with her resignation from the Company, but in consideration for her service, the Company will accelerate the vesting of 235,920 restricted stock units representing the right to receive shares of the Company's Class A common stock which would otherwise vest on February 1, 2024, which will now vest on January 12, 2024. The resignation of Ms. Martin was not due to any disagreement with the Company or any matter relating to the Company's operations, policies, or practices.
